About us

History

YWATA founded 2017 and was officially registered on November 9, 2023 under NGO Act with certificate of registration number OONGO/R/5303 by founder members as a response to the challenges facing Youth and Women with regard to Social, economic and political affairs.

Ywata

Ywata is committed to promotion of economic and justice among marginalized Youth and Women in Tanzania. YWATA is committed to organize seminars, meetings, discussion sessions that will open up understanding on how to tackle life challenges standing as obstacles on ways to success.

We envision a community of Young People and Women with confidence to truly become the best they can be while respecting equally the views of others.

Our Mission

Our mission is to promote the integral growth and all-round development of young people and women. We empower young and women with necessary skills of life and practical skills enriched with the spirit of empathy to enhance capabilities of:

Young and Women to be leaders

and strong positive role models for children and other groups in our community with a series of programs focused on successful interpersonal relationships and nurturing their dreams and aspirations

Young and women to achieve personal development

educational enhancement, and career preparation, which will create a foundation for success in life.

The objectives for which the YWATA is formed/established are to:

Promote self-employment

in the informal sector in the fields of small-scale trading, agriculture and technical activities

Create a community

of youth and women with positive attitude about themselves and the community around them

Promote a community of Young and Women

who can stand up for their rights with respect while looking for win-win solution to community problems

Contribute to reduction of poverty and injustice

among Youth and Women in Tanzania

Create awareness among Young and Women 

concerning the causes, effects and means of reduction of such poverty and injustice
